Chief Instructor of the Tora Karate and Flatbush Shotokan Karate Club, renamed Maynard Miner Karate Academy, Brooklyn, NY Mr. Waldron has been a member of the ISKF since 1972, when he began training in Shotokan karate under Sensei Frank Woon-A-Tai in Guyana. Twenty years later, Waldron continued his training with Sensei Maynard Miner of the Flatbush Shotokan Karate Club in Brooklyn, NY. Waldron remains active in both his local club and with the ISKF. He is a graduate of the ISKF’s Instructor Training Program and later became a Member of the East Coast Technical Committee and frequently serves as a judge in ISKF’s regional and collegiate tournaments. Waldron has participated in many ISKF competitions and represented the East Coast as a member of its Kumite Team at national events. Waldron Sensei has been training for 50 years plus.
